But it is not a spectator sport, it is a partnership - hawk and handler in harmony, hunting - walking in the footsteps of our ancestors as far back as 4000 years ago!
We guide each guest through the basics of handling their bird before departing on the adventure of a lifetime. We cater for both the beginner and the ardent professional so no experience is necessary.
From either of our centres to the countryside, in pursuit of quarry, hunting trips can be half, whole-day or evening adventures. "Exciting" and "unforgettable" are understatements according to our past guests. Please note that hunting is a seasonal offering due to the laws of the land and the practicability of hunting. We offer hunting days from October to February.
Hunting with the help of ferrets or dogs for wild quarry such as rabbits, hares or game birds in the beautiful Scottish countryside is definitely a "grand day out" and is a definite "not to miss" experience. In fact you might find it so enjoyable that you wish to pursue falconry further.
