Jedforest Falconry is a part of the Jedforest Deer and Farm Park . It's a great family day out; magnificent herds of deer, a large conservation collection of rare breeds of sheep, pigs, cattle, chickens, ducks and others, all in the context of a modern working farm. All this as well as Birds of Prey demonstrations and handling sessions. The park is open every day from 10.00 to 17.30 1st May to Aug. 11.00 - 16.30 Sept to 28 Oct. Other times by appointment.
Both our Jedforest and Dalhousie centres provide falconry services and opportunities for handling falcons, hawks, owls and eagles on a pre-booking system, but at our Jedforest centre, daily demonstrations (usually held around lunchtime) and handling sessions (usually held mid afternoon) are provided at no extra cost to the entrance fee of the park. We offer various types of falconry handling sessions - see our pricelist for the full list. Please note that our Dalhousie centre does not provide demonstrations or handling sessions unless pre-booked and our Jedforest centre has a very restricted list of handling activities. If in doubt, please contact either centre for details.
At the demonstrations you will be able to admire our magnificent birds at close quarters. Come and experience the down draught of the majestic Eagle Owl swooping silently overhead or awe at the agility of a falcon as it speeds towards its prey at over 100 miles an hour! Jedforest is also the location of our lovable rogue, Jake the Raven, not a bird of prey as such, but just as impressive. Many species of our birds of prey are on display at Jedforest and our falconers can answer any questions that you may have regarding them.
