Falconry Scotland - Falconry Services in the Borders and Lothians of Scotland * New Arrivals to the Dalhousie Castle Mews *
We are delighted to announce the arrival of Lily the Barn owl to our team. Lily has been handreared by our falconers since she was a ball of fluff and is now fully grown and has all of her beautiful adult feathers. Although she is still very young, she has already successfully become part of our Wedding Ring Delivery by Owl service, and enjoys her time flying in the Dalhousie Castle Chapel. Falconry Scotland - Falconry Services in the Borders and Lothians of Scotland Lily has also been joined by our newest arrival, a baby Little Owl aptly named Puck. Puck, a particularly cheeky and curious individual, has quickly become part of the team and is learning to fly both in the grounds and inside for special occasions. Lily and Puck have recently taken part in their first special event, a magical "Owls Myths and Legends" afternoon held in the Castle Chapel on Christmas Eve. Both youngsters loved their time swooping down over people's heads and to the glove and are looking forward to the next special Owls event!

Falconry Scotland - Falconry Services in the Borders and Lothians of Scotland * The Ancient Sport of Archery comes to Dalhousie *
Dalhousie Castle Falconry is delighted to announce that from February 2008 we will be able to offer exciting Archery experiences on-site in the beautiful grounds of Dalhousie Castle. Our falconers, all fully trained as Archery Leaders, will be pleased to give guests a chance to pick up a recurve bow and test their skill and precision hitting the bullseye in our 'Have a Go' sessions. Details can be found on our brand new Archery section of the website!
